Midtown Beach Music Returns to North Hills Summer 2021
In March 2020, the Midtown Beach Music Series prepared to unveil the lineup for its 13th season. Instead, the Raleigh community was faced with stay-at-home orders and social distancing mandates. But good news: Midtown Beach Music returns to North Hills May 27, 2021! It’s even got a new name: The Best of North Hills: A Comeback Tour. Here’s what you can expect from one of the Triangle’s most popular summertime events.
Live music comes to North Hills every Thursday night
Between May 27 and July 22, head over to North Hills anytime between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to enjoy live music, dancing, singing, and more. This summer series lineup includes beach music, Motown, oldies, R&B, and more.
This is a socially distanced event, so limited seating is available! Be sure to reserve your seat ahead of time. Masks are required.
Come fall, a new lineup awaits!
The summer series ends in July, but the fall series picks right back up again in August with a fresh lineup of bands. The weather cools down, but the music stays hot! The fall series runs on Fridays from August 13 through October 8 and features the best in tribute bands, including classic rock, Motown, country, reggae, and more.
There are tons of favorite local bands to enjoy
Eager to find out who’s on the roster each week? Expect to see the Embers (widely known as the founders of Carolina beach music), Catalinas, Legacy Motown, and the Band of Oz during the summer, and tribute bands to Led Zeppelin, Stevie Wonder, Bob Marley, and Rolling Stones come fall. You can catch the full summer and fall lineups on Eventbrite.
A percentage of proceeds go to charity
Best of all? A percentage of all the event’s proceeds to go charity! Organizations helped include: Ronald McDonald House, Make a Wish, Love Is Bald, and more.
